Meet Sergio Sanchez, the driving force behind Sports Media, with over two decades of experience in marketing, sales and media production, also serving as a radio and TV announcer. Passionate about soccer and media, he founded and co-produced Fútbol y Más Radio with his former partner Alex Pasos, and expanded to TV during the 2002 and 2010 Soccer World Cups on Azteca América TV in the San Francisco Bay area market.
Sergio's creativity extends to crafting over a thousand radio commercials. Since 2000, he has hosted several radio soccer shows, notably "Hablemos de Futbol" on ESPN Deportes Radio. Beyond sports, since 2021, he hosts "Latinos en Silicon Valley Podcast and Radio" spotlighting prominent Latin Americans. Sergio has been in the production of over fifteen professional soccer matches.
In late 2019, before the pandemic, Sergio orchestrated a spectacular match between Chivas and America, birthing the "Clásico de Leyendas".
Notably, Sergio Sanchez has also served as the Spanish PA Announcer at San Jose Earthquakes' PayPal Park.

How Event Production started
Since 2000, Sergio Sanchez has been pivotal in the world of sports. From thrilling Plays off in the Pre Libertadores 2001 to strategic planning for Copa America 2015 radio spots, Sergio ensures fans are captivated by every moment. In 2019, he orchestrated the iconic "Clásico de Leyendas" match between Chivas and America, showcasing Mexican soccer legends at Papa Murphy's Sacramento stadium. Sports Media, under Sergio's guidance, handled the entire production seamlessly. With over two decades of passion and expertise, Sergio continues to shape the sports landscape with his innovative spirit.
What about the Radio Talk Shows
Sports Media's radio journey began in 2000 with "Fútbol y Más", in partnership with Brisbane Media, airing on KZSF 1370AM across the San Francisco Bay Area. Sergio, now the Executive Producer, started as a radio host. In 2014, "Hablemos de fútbol" launched on KTRB 860AM ESPN Deportes Radio, captivating California listeners.
Under Sergio's direction, Sports Media introduced "A todo fútbol" in 2018, reaching Northern California's major cities through Radio KIQI 1010 AM and KATD 990AM. Currently, Sports Media produces "Latinos en Silicon Valley Radio" (LSVR) since 2021, hosted by Sergio Sanchez and Mexican journalist Adela Márquez, airing on KIQI1010am & KATD 990am, supporting the Latin American community in Northern California.
The Podcast era began
During the pandemic times, Sports Media, eager to expand its communication with the Latino community of California, produced its podcast "Latinos en Silicon Valley", a digital channel broadcasted on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, among others.
